Ryan informed me today the way he believes the jump rope was created. Here is his version:
" A long time ago they didn't have any jump ropes but they had snakes. The snakes had a head on each end because they were two-headed snakes. People would use these snakes to jump rope with but decided they needed to use something that wouldn't bite and kill them. They thought about it and decided that string was less deadly so they started using that."
What a mind!
