School Bells Will Be Ringing...

How many new things can one cram into a day? For us, it was three. Not only was it the first day of school for Ryan but it was also the first day at my new job. If that wasn't enough, Ryan had his first practice for his basketball team. .

We got off and out the door on time (yippee) and off to Ryan's school. Ryan allowed me to walk him to his class and even take a picture before he ran off for better things. I made it to my new job at Field Elem. just in time (despite the fact that parents can't drive, park, walk ect.) Just like Ryan, my day was filled with learning new stuff, bells ringing and lots of kids. I think I am going to really enjoy my new position once I have confidence in what I am doing. After school we both did homework, then took a little break. After that is was out the door again.

Ryan started basketball today. The whole fam went to his practice which was so entertaining. There is nothing better than watching first and second graders learning how to play the game. The first game should be interesting. Tired and hungry after practice, we grabbed a bite to eat and then returned home for showers and bed. In all, it we made it through all the events unharmed and surprisingly with very little yelling. Now to do it all again tomorrow. Whew, I'm tired already.
Side note: I had planned to post a picture of Ryan and one of me since this was both our "first day of school". However after looking at the ones that Matt took of me, I decided not to ruin anyone's eye sight so you only get Ryan. Trust me, your eyes will thank me someday.

Tanya, yes it is the one and only Dana. We are still close friends even though she lives in Utah now. As for my new job, I am in the Library at Field and so far I really like it.

Did you tell me about the new job? I must really be losing it if you did. I got all teary eyed seeing him all ready for school. One more year for me till Ellie goes to school! i am glad it was successful. I checked out the blog you told me about, enlightened homemaker and I am hooked! She has lots of great info. Thanks!
