This 4th of July was just me and my kids. Matt had to work :( so the kids and I did some fun things to distract us. In the morning we went to the movies to see Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. It turned out to be a really cute movie. In the afternoon we went over to the Tatom's house for a BBQ and some swimming. Eryn was sad because her Daddy wasn't there to take her swimming. She got to swing though which made her happy for a little while. The party had to end for us around 7pm because Eryn was done. She was so tired and ready to go to bed. Eryn and I were going to have to pass on fireworks but my sister agreed to pick Ryan up so he wouldn't have to miss out. A storm was starting to brew by time we had started to leave. I mentioned to Ryan that the fireworks may have to be canceled. This is when he started talking about weather and he told me this little gem. He said, " you know, first there is rain, then the wind comes, followed by lighting, then that is followed by the Tornado of Doom." Then he said, "I sure glad we don't live in Texas because that is what would happen to this storm if we lived there."
So to everyone, I hope you had a fantastic 4th of July and were fortunate to escape the "Tornado of Doom".

Vanessa! I can't believe that you found us! I love keeping up with long-lost friends through blogging - it's so much better than stumbling into old friends at Target when I'm yelling at my kids and have an economy pack of pregnancy tests in my cart! :)
Yeah, we were almost in the "tornado of doom" last night when we went to see the fireworks. Ryan sounds like such a smart, cute kid! And Eryn is beautiful! What fun!
